Organic Search Engine Optimization

  Search-engine facts:
  • 85% of all Web traffic originates from search engines.
  • 93.4% of all searches are done using Google, Yahoo and MSN.
  • 62% of search engine users click on a result within the first page of results and 90% click on a result within the first three pages (30 listings) of search-engine results. (iProspect)
  • Absent active promotion, the odds against one of your Web pages ranking #1 on a major search engine are on the order of 11 million to 1.
  • 36% of search engine users report that they believe that companies whose Web sites appear at the top of the search results are leaders in their field. (iProspect)
  • In March 2006, 40% of visitors to travel sites originated from search engines. (Hitwise)
  • Consistent high ranking on search engines is the #1 driver of the acquisition of loyal customers

In getting site traffic from search engines, it's not how many search engines you can get to index your site that counts- it's how highly ranked your site is in the major search engines for the keywords that your most valuable potential customers are using in their searches.

If your site doesn't rank in the top 20-30 (ideally the top 10) sites on the keywords commonly used to describe what you're selling, it's unlikely that anyone is ever going to access your site via that search engine.

Your pages need to be optimized for the main search engines used by your best potential customers. The key places to have top rankings are the handful of world-class search engines/directories, along with the most popular national/regional search engines used in your target geographical market and any important industry-specific search engines used by your target customer community.

Done correctly (as we will), optimization for these key search engines, followed by conscientious maintenance to keep up with the ever-changing search-engine algorithms, will significantly increase the number of qualified prospects finding your site.

We will help you select the most important keywords and search engines and optimize your pages to maximize targeted Web-site traffic from search engines. We will be happy to quote a price for any combination of search engines and directories and any number of Web pages.
